About Aimee

My name is Aimee Smith, and I’m the founder of Become Breathwork®. I offer trauma-informed, heart-centered breathwork, movement and somatic guidance that support healing, regulation, and reconnection through the body.

I came to this work through lived experience. As someone who has navigated trauma, chronic illness, and the long journey of raising a child with complex needs, I understand how much women carry—often quietly, and often alone. Over time, that constant holding can live in the nervous system and body, shaping how we feel, cope, and move through the world.

While traditional therapy was an essential part of my healing, it was the integration of body-based practices—especially breathwork—that helped me feel true safety in my body and restore a sense of calm, trust, and aliveness. That experience is what guides my work today.

Through breathwork, somatic practices, and creative movement, I support women—particularly mothers, caregivers, and helpers—in tending to what has been held and reconnecting with their resilience and inner fire. My work is gentle, paced, and choice-centered, and is designed to complement therapy rather than replace it.

At its core, Become Breathwork® is an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and nurture yourself in a way that feels sustainable and real. It’s about learning how to meet your body with care, restore nervous system steadiness, and create space for more ease, connection, and vitality in everyday life.
